Arkema is focused on supporting growth initiatives for their Thiochemicals Business Unit in North America. The Business Development Engineer role involves identifying and commercializing new business opportunities while managing a portfolio and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical-commercial challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and advance new business opportunities in targeted North American markets
- Analyze value chains, competitive positioning, and market dynamics to support opportunity and new product development
- Support strategic partnerships, including Joint Development Agreements (JDAs) and Joint Ventures (JVs), and represent Arkema with customers and at industry events
- Share market intelligence, customer insights, and opportunity updates with regional and global stakeholders
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is needed
- At least 6 years of relevant experience, with about 3 of those years being spent in an R&D, technical, or Business Development Engineer role
- Ability to travel 40-50% of the time – mostly within North American, with occasional international travel
- Effective communication skills with customers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- An advanced degree
- Experience in the refinery, renewable energy, or petrochemical market
