About this role
IP Recruiter Group is recruiting for a Patent Agent / Electrical Engineer to join a respected IP group focused on electrical and computer practice areas. The role involves the preparation and prosecution of patents for both domestic and foreign clients while providing support in related practice areas such as patentability and portfolio management.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and prosecute patents for domestic and foreign clients
- Support practice needs in patentability, infringement, validity, and freedom to operate opinions and related analysis
- Manage portfolio strategy and due diligence
- Interact with clients and provide excellent interpersonal skills
Requirements:
- Minimum BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics
- Prior engineering experience is a plus
- USPTO bar
- Must have at least 3 years of full time claim drafting and patent prosecution experience with a reputable law firm
- Strong academic credentials
- Fluency in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean would certainly be of value
