Patent Attorney / Electrical Engineer / EE / DC 20005 2558-04

IP Recruiter Group is recruiting for an expanding law firm seeking a patent attorney with a solid technical background in electrical and/or computer engineering. The role involves initial patent drafting and prosecution, as well as providing client counseling services in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Initial patent drafting and patent prosecution for an impressive array of high-tech clients, both domestic and foreign
• Provide a variety opinion and client counseling services (e.g., infringement and freedom to operate opinions, portfolio strategy, trademarks, IP licensing, litigation support, PTAB issues, etc.)
• Engage with clients at all levels
• Grow as a practitioner and as a well-rounded IP attorney and potential practice leader
• Deal with a wide range of electrical and computer engineering applications (industrial electronics, power and control systems, analog and digital circuits, chip architecture, RF, WiFi, digital video, wireless telecommunications, network protocols, network security, IEEE standards, cryptography, artificial intelligence (AI), mobile and consumer electronics, enterprise applications, web services, software user interfaces)

Requirements:

• Minimum BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics
• State bar and USPTO bar
• Must have at least 1 year of full time claim drafting and patent prosecution experience with a reputable law firm
• Strong academic credentials
