The Education and Workforce Solutions (EWS) Data and Business Intelligence Analyst will manage analytics and dashboard deliverables, partner with stakeholders to document reporting requirements, and ensure data quality for effective decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the full lifecycle of analytics and dashboard deliverables, from requirements gathering through development, validation, documentation, and ongoing maintenance
- Partnering with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document reporting requirements in a consultative manner
- Designing and managing data models within Qlik, including understanding how tables relate, join keys, and the impact of data structure on output accuracy
- Identifying and documenting data sources, joins, transformations, and the logic behind key calculations for each deliverable
- Validating source data quality and structure before building, not assuming upstream data is ready for use
- Maintaining centralized documentation covering requirements, data lineage, business rules, access, and update history
- Performing quality assurance to confirm that report outputs align with documented requirements and business expectations
- Providing proactive status updates on active work and maintaining a current view of the overall analytics portfolio
- Collaborating with data engineers, process owners, finance, IT, and other stakeholders to resolve data quality and delivery issues
- Contributing to achieving the vision, mission, and values of Siemens Healthineers
Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in a business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting role
- Proficiency with Qlik (Qlik Sense and/or QlikView) is required, including data modeling, set analysis, and dashboard development
- Understanding of relational data concepts including primary/foreign keys, table grain, and table relationships
- Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot data model integrity
- Experience working with raw or semi-structured data sources, not solely pre-processed datasets
- Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and translate them into functional reporting solutions
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to documentation quality
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present data concepts to non-technical audiences
- Self-starter with high initiative, ownership mentality, and ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and priorities simultaneously
- 15% travel required
- Comfortable working with data at all stages of readiness, from raw source files to structured data models
- Working in matrixed or cross-functional team environments
- Healthcare, manufacturing, or other regulated industry analytics experience
- SQL or data querying tools for data preparation and validation
- Familiarity with additional BI platforms (e.g., Power BI)
