Anaconda, Inc. is a leader in AI and open-source solutions, providing tools that help organizations leverage data science effectively. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will play a crucial role in transforming data into strategic insights, managing complex analytical projects, and partnering with various teams to enhance decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade dbt models and SQL pipelines in Snowflake that serve as the reliable foundation for business-critical reporting
- Architect dashboards and analytical frameworks in OMNI that go beyond status tracking to surface trends, anomalies, and actionable signals for finance, GTM, and customer success
- Own data quality end-to-end: design tests, enforce consistent metric definitions, identify upstream issues before they reach stakeholders, and document assumptions clearly
- Automate recurring reporting workflows and triage ad hoc requests efficiently, keeping delivery time low without sacrificing accuracy
- Move from reporting to recommending: deliver not just the numbers, but the editorial. Surface what the data means and what the business should do about it
- Apply statistical methods (regression, cohort analysis, A/B test interpretation, time-series modeling) to uncover insights that descriptive reporting alone would miss
- Lead ROI analyses and quantitative deep dives on strategic initiatives, connecting data outputs to revenue, retention, or efficiency outcomes with clarity and precision
- Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the data and bring them to stakeholders without waiting to be asked
- Partner closely with finance, GTM, customer success, and marketing to understand what they need to measure, translate those needs into analytical requirements, and deliver solutions that stick
- Help stakeholders ask better questions over time: not just answering requests, but shaping how they think about and use data
- Contribute to a shared knowledge base by documenting models, data dictionaries, and analytical approaches so the team builds on each other's work
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or a closely related function
- Advanced SQL proficiency: complex joins, window functions, query optimization, and performance tuning at scale
- Hands-on experience with dbt in a production environment: model design, testing, documentation, and incremental/snapshot strategies
- Experience with a modern cloud data warehouse (Snowflake strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated use of statistical methods in a business context with clear evidence of the outcomes produced
- Strong data visualization skills with the ability to make complex data accessible to non-technical audiences and answering the WHEN, WHO, WHAT, HOW & if possible the WHY
- Track record of partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and influencing how they use and interpret data
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future
- Experience using regression, cohort analysis, A/B test interpretation, causal inference techniques, segmentation modeling, or time-series techniques in a business context, and you can speak to the business outcome that resulted
- Ability to surface trends, risks, or opportunities the business was not yet asking about
- Demonstrated experience in using AI to quickly iterate, investigate and determine the 'art of the possible' and go build it
- Proven experience developing ongoing analytical partnerships with non-technical business partners, not just transactional relationships
- Experience with OMNI or a comparable semantic-layer BI tool
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM data structures and GTM reporting
- Exposure to Python or R for analytical work beyond SQL
- Experience working in a lean, fast-moving analytics function without extensive tooling or infrastructure support
