Investment Banking Associate, AI Residency (Part-time) | Frontier AI Research, UK & EU

Aptura is a company that operates at the intersection of institutional finance and frontier AI systems, collaborating with leading AI labs to enhance decision-making in high-stakes financial contexts. They are seeking an Investment Banking Associate for a part-time residency, where the role involves developing prompts, evaluating AI reasoning against traditional banking approaches, and designing frameworks for AI applications in corporate finance and M&A workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Develop realistic, deal-relevant prompts you would assign to an analyst and stress-test the quality of AI-generated outputs against bulge-bracket standards
• Systematically evaluate where AI reasoning diverges from how a trained banker would approach valuation, modelling, and diligence
• Translate how bankers navigate ambiguity in financial statements, structure transactions, and pressure-test assumptions into problems that challenge AI reasoning
• Build and validate real-world financial models, DCFs, comps, LBOs, and deal cases used to evaluate frontier AI systems
