Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Data Archiving Consultant with strong expertise in SARA (SAP Archive Administration) and ILM (Information Lifecycle Management). The role focuses on implementing data archiving strategies, ensuring compliance, and optimizing system performance in SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute data archiving using SAP SARA
• Implement and support SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM)
• Define and configure data retention policies, residence rules, and destruction rules
• Work with business teams to identify archiving objects (FI, MM, SD, HR, etc.)
• Perform archiving runs (write, delete, reload) and monitor jobs
• Integrate SAP archiving with OpenText / third-party content repositories
• Ensure compliance with legal, audit, and data privacy regulations (GDPR, etc.)
• Support system performance optimization and database size reduction
• Handle data retrieval and audit requests from archived data
• Perform testing (Unit, SIT, UAT) and documentation

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • SAP SARA
  • SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM)
• Experience in:
  • Archiving objects configuration (FI_DOCUMNT, MM_MATBEL, SD_VBAK, etc.)
  • Write/Delete programs and job scheduling
• Knowledge of:
  • Data retention & compliance policies
  • ArchiveLink / ADK (Archive Development Kit)
• Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA environments

Preferred Skills

• Integration experience with:
  • OpenText Archive Server / Content Server
• Basic knowledge of:
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • ABAP (for archiving objects / enhancements)
• Experience with data volume management (DVM)
• Exposure to cloud archiving strategies
