Healthcare Business Analyst

VySystems is seeking a Healthcare Business Analyst to ensure software applications meet business requirements prior to release. This role involves validating system usability and functionality while acting as a liaison between various teams to facilitate testing efforts and ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive UAT plans, scenarios, and test cases based on business requirements and Availity release updates
• Track and incorporate biweekly Availity release updates into testing cycles
• Define UAT scope, timelines, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with CDM, Availity, and technical teams
• Execute test cases to validate functionality, data integrity, and system performance
• Identify, log, and track defects; coordinate resolution with technical teams
• Perform regression testing and validate fixes prior to production deployment
• Review business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications for completeness
• Translate requirements into actionable test scenarios and acceptance criteria
• Ensure business requirements are test-ready and aligned with expected outcomes
• Serve as primary point of contact for Availity, business users, and IT teams
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across CDM, vendor, and technical stakeholders
• Lead recurring meetings (e.g., Availity biweekly release meetings) and communicate testing status, risks, and outcomes
• Document test cases, results, and defects
• Prepare UAT summary reports and communicate findings to CDM and IT teams
• Develop job aids and user documentation for system processes and access
• Perform data validation, patient analysis, and volumetric reporting
• Support dashboard and ad hoc reporting (e.g., data quality and performance insights)
• Ensure alignment between tested outcomes and business data expectations
• Support onboarding and training for CDM users
• Assist with system access setup and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams groups)
• Provide backup support for team members and leadership when required

Requirements:

• Proficiency in SQL (5+ years of experience)
• Proficiency in Snowflake (5+ years of experience)
• Expertise in Epic Clarity (5+ years of experience)
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools ie. Tableau (5+ years of experience)
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (5+ years of experience)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint (5+ years of experience)
• Ability to run scripts and perform data analysis ie. Python (3+ years of experience)
• Hands-on Experience in Healthcare data domain – Clinical data, Claims data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (5+ years of experience)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills (5+ years of experience)
• Ability to work in cross-functional environments involving business, vendor, and technical teams (5+ years of experience)
• Experience in test planning, execution, and defect management (5+ years of experience)
• Experience working with Clinical Data Mart (CDM) or enterprise data platforms
• Familiarity with Availity or similar healthcare vendor platforms and release processes
• Knowledge of healthcare data domain
• Experience supporting onboarding, access management, and user training
• Exposure to volumetric reporting, patient data analysis, and dashboard validation
• Experience with Python or automation scripts for data validation
• Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings and managing release communications
