SAP S/4 HANA Materials Management & Warehouse Product Owner / SME (MM/IM/EWM)

HYR Global Source Inc is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Materials Management & Warehouse Product Owner / SME to serve as the business-facing functional leader supporting warehouse operations and project teams within a large-scale asset-intensive environment. This role will bridge operational stakeholders and SAP delivery teams, ensuring solutions align with business processes and requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Product Owner and Subject Matter Expert for SAP S/4HANA MM, IM, and EWM capabilities
• Partner with warehouse, maintenance, and project teams to understand business needs and operational priorities
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and SAP implementation/support teams
• Own and manage the functional backlog, enhancement requests, and prioritization activities
• Provide expertise in: SAP Materials Management (MM), Inventory Management (IM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
• Support solution design for embedded and decentralized EWM environments
• Lead current-state and future-state process mapping workshops
• Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployments, and go-live activities
• Develop training materials, job aids, and end-user documentation
• Drive business readiness, change management, and user adoption initiatives
• Build strong relationships with operational leaders, warehouse personnel, and field teams

Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) and Inventory Management (IM)
• Practical experience supporting warehouse operations using SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
• Strong understanding of integration between SAP MM/EWM and SAP EAM/PM
• Experience supporting asset-intensive industries such as Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, or Chemicals
• Proven experience serving as a Product Owner, Functional Lead, or Business SME
• Strong background leading process workshops, testing cycles, deployments, and training programs
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to travel 50 75% (primarily Monday Thursday)
• Must be available to work within the Central Time Zone (CST)
• Experience with multiple SAP S/4HANA implementations, deployments, or rollouts
• Knowledge of embedded versus decentralized EWM architectures
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery environments
• Background in warehouse operations, supply chain, maintenance, or inventory management
• Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives within Oil & Gas environments
