EdLight is a company dedicated to improving educational outcomes through innovative solutions. They are seeking a Business Development Representative to enhance their presence in schools by building relationships and generating qualified leads through in-person visits and events.
Responsibilities:
- Execute in-person school visits and build relationships with principals, instructional coaches, and district leaders
- Attend conferences and edtech events to represent EdLight and generate qualified leads
- Run warm-up sequences to keep relationships active between visits
- Identify and engage decision makers who match EdLight's partner profile
- Book and confirm qualified meetings for the EdLight team
- Keep HubSpot updated same-day with contact notes, stage changes, and follow-up tasks
- Track visit volume, contact-to-meeting rate, and meeting-to-close rate so we know what is working
- Build and document a repeatable in-person lead generation strategy by end of Q3 2026
- Run discovery conversations with school and district leaders to understand their priorities
- Identify fit between EdLight's product and what schools are actually trying to solve
- Hand off warm, qualified opportunities with clear context so no momentum is lost
Requirements:
- Have 5+ years working with schools, districts, or education organizations
- Experience managing consultants or distributed teams
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a partner success or account management role, preferably in the education or edtech industry
- Proven track record of building and maintaining successful partnerships and driving partner satisfaction and retention
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Passion for education and a commitment to improving student outcomes
- Experience leading and managing a team is highly desirable
