BASF is one of the largest chemical companies in North America, and they are seeking a Sales Account Manager to join their Intermediates team. This role involves managing customer relationships, driving new business opportunities, and supporting organic growth targets within various chemical markets.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and managing lead generation and collaborating with Product Managers, Business Development while closing new business opportunities
- Identifying new customers and valuable market intelligence in North America to support organic growth
- Creating a winning value proposition for all stakeholders will be evident as you build lasting customer relationships to identify business opportunities and trends, as well as build a strong network with internal stakeholders
- Participating as a Sales and customer management professional. This includes Salesforce collaboration, call reports, reporting of any key intelligence data collected, contract management & negotiations, price, and margin management of customer portfolio
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or Business
- 8+ years Sales and customer experience
- Excellent planning, organizing and work management skills to effectively prioritize customer needs and BASF needs
- Experience and success being a self-starter
- Effective and persuasive communication and presentation skills that sell benefits and creates value
- Strong customer focus combined with an entrepreneurial approach that creates a winning value proposition for all stakeholders
- The willingness to learn and apply sales techniques
- Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Share Point
- Commodity experience
- CRM and Salesforce experience
