Principal Financial Group is seeking a motivated Marketing Strategist to support their sales and customer care teams within the Retirement & Income Solutions business. The role involves executing B2B marketing strategies, managing processes, and collaborating with marketing segment leads to enhance the advisor and client experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of B2B marketing campaigns and initiatives aligned to strategic priorities
- Partner with segment marketers to support program delivery and day-to-day marketing needs
- Manage Continuing Education program
- Manage and oversee the firm collateral approval process
- Elevate brand awareness by supporting awards program
- Support reporting needs to measure effectiveness and inform future efforts
- Contribute to ad hoc projects, helping the team stay agile and responsive
- Work closely with marketing, compliance and operations to support initiatives that enhance the client and sales experience
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of related work experience helping to building strategic marketing programs that deliver strong results
- Must have basic to intermediate level of knowledge of the marketing profession and modern marketing strategies
- Solid strategic and critical thinking skills
- An understanding of the competition, market opportunities and customer experience
- Experience partnering with or supporting a sales organization
- Ability to translate data analytics into results
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with financial services or retirement industry
- Ability to anticipate needs, problem-solve proactively and build strong internal relationships
- General understanding of Principal business, products and industry along with understanding or experience with identified audience
