Software Engineering Manager

Lynx is a company that delivers modular, open standards–based software for mission-critical edge systems. They are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers, manage project execution, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and mentor a cross-functional team of software engineers and contractors
• Own the delivery lifecycle for OS features
• You’ll manage timelines, risks, and dependencies, ensuring that "moving fast" never comes at the expense of "moving safely."
• Oversee external partners and contractors, ensuring their deliverables meet Lynx’s high standards for code quality and architectural integrity
• Work closely with the Certification and QA teams to ensure all development processes align with industry standards such as DO-178C

Requirements:

• 7+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a management role
• The ability to translate complex technical hurdles into clear project status updates for stakeholders
• Deep expertise in SCRUM/Agile. You know how to make Agile work in environments where 'breaking things' isn't an option
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field preferred
• Must be a US Citizen
• Exposure to safety-critical development processes (DO-178C, ISO 26262)
• Experience developing systems-level software, including virtualization, OS kernels, or hypervisors for x86/ARM
