The Business Process Engineer will focus on improving finance processes through efficiency, waste reduction, and measurable results by partnering with finance teams to redesign processes and support continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Identify root causes of complex business and process issues
- Analyze current processes and design improved future-state solutions
- Lead process improvement and reengineering initiatives (including DMAIC projects)
- Recommend solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and speed
- Partner with finance stakeholders to understand needs and deliver results
- Create clear documentation, dashboards, and performance metrics
- Communicate insights clearly to all levels, including senior leaders
- Manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a matrixed environment
- Build strong relationships and influence without direct authority
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Proven experience leading process improvement projects
- Experience documenting and analyzing complex business processes
- Strong skills in identifying inefficiencies and redesigning processes
- Ability to analyze data and process flows to find optimization opportunities
- Experience leading DMAIC-based initiatives
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt (or higher)
- LEAN training or certification
- Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP)
- Knowledge of robotic process automation (RPA)
- Familiarity with change management methodologies
- Client or stakeholder relationship management experience
