DataStage Engineer
This roles will provide expertise in the following areas related to DataStage:
- Advanced Troubleshooting & Incident Response: Rapid diagnosis and resolution of job failures (abends) to maintain test and production stability.
- Platform Engineering & Optimization: Monitoring and tuning of the DataStage platform performance under increased test and cutover volumes.
- Stability Assurance During Key Events: Hands-on platform oversight and issue resolution during Mock cycles, conversion weekend, and the stabilization period that follows.
- Ensuring Stable and Predictable Data Migration: Deep DataStage expertise enables proactive detection and resolution of job performance issues, bottlenecks, and abends that could impact critical conversion processing.
- Optimizing High-volume Conversion Workloads: As data volumes may significantly increase overall workload load on the platform, this role will tune and optimize DataStage jobs so they scale to meet cutover and Mock testing throughput requirements.
- Maintaining Platform Resilience During Key Events: Provide hands-on oversight during all Mock cycles, the conversion weekend, and the post go-live stabilization period, ensuring that data pipelines run without delays or failures that would impact downstream systems.
- Reducing Operational and Timeline Risk: By providing Level 3 4 engineering support, this role will fill a critical skill gap in advanced troubleshooting, root cause identification, and rapid remediation needed to prevent cascading conversion delays.
- Supporting Business Continuity Across Integrations: DataStage reliability directly impacts customer account setup, transaction history migration, downstream regulatory reporting, and product readiness all essential elements of Merge the Bank outcomes.
