The Hope Group, A SunSource Company, is New England’s leading provider of fluid power and motion control solutions for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and MROs. The role involves developing and managing a sales territory, identifying customer needs, and delivering tailored solutions while building strong relationships with customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow a defined sales territory through a combination of new business development and account management
- Plan and execute strategic sales calls with existing and prospective customers using CRM tools
- Identify customer needs and deliver tailored motion control and fluid power solutions
- Prepare and present proposals that clearly communicate value and drive results
- Build strong, consultative relationships with customers, becoming a trusted advisor
- Collaborate closely with inside sales, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience
- Conduct on-site product demonstrations and Lunch & Learns with customers and vendor partners
- Partner with manufacturer representatives on joint sales calls and business development efforts
- Actively uncover cross-selling opportunities across divisions to expand customer partnerships
- Participate in ongoing product and sales training to continuously build technical expertise
- Proactively resolve customer concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction
Requirements:
- Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, or mechanical systems and motion control applications
- Ability to identify, specify, and recommend solutions based on customer needs
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Some overnight travel will be required
- Bachelor's degree or technical degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field
- 2+ years of outside technical sales experience (fluid power or industrial sales)
- Certified Fluid Power Specialist (CFPS)
- Experience with or knowledge of Parker products
