As a Staff Product Manager, you will define and drive multi-quarter strategy within one of Brex’s critical product domains, leading cross-functional initiatives that enhance customer value and business impact.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own a multi-quarter product vision and strategy aligned to Brex’s highest company priorities
- Identify high-leverage opportunities that create durable competitive advantage, not just incremental improvements
- Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that span multiple teams, systems, and stakeholder groups
- Develop deep domain expertise in your area (e.g., financial infrastructure, risk systems, growth systems, payables ecosystem, etc.) and use it to inform product direction
- Partner closely with Engineering to design scalable technical systems, engaging meaningfully in architectural discussions and tradeoffs
- Set clear success metrics tied to company-level outcomes and hold teams accountable to measurable impact
- Drive structured decision-making in ambiguous environments, balancing speed with rigor
- Influence senior leaders and executives through clear thinking, strong written narratives, and data-backed recommendations
- Improve product craft and operating standards across the organization, mentoring PMs and elevating how we build
Requirements:
- 7–10+ years of product management experience, with a demonstrated track record of leading complex, high-impact product initiatives in high-growth B2B or fintech environments
- Experience building platform or financial infrastructure products is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to define product strategy that translates into measurable business outcomes
- Strong fluency in technical systems and architecture
- Comfortable discussing APIs, data models, experimentation frameworks, and system tradeoffs with engineers
- Highly data-driven
- Strong experience defining metrics, running experiments, and using SQL (or similar tools) to guide decisions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders through structured thinking and compelling narratives
- Ability to reason holistically across product, technical, operational, compliance, and revenue systems
- Demonstrated ability to raise the quality bar — for product thinking, execution, and customer experience
