Senior Engineering Manager – Data Products & Analytics Engineering

Nasscomm is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager – Data Products to lead the delivery and governance of enterprise-scale data products across multiple business domains. This role will oversee vendor engineering teams, drive execution excellence, enforce data engineering standards, and ensure the successful delivery of scalable, governed, and high-quality data products.

Responsibilities:

• Manage delivery across multiple vendor engineering teams and business domains
• Own execution quality, delivery timelines, dependency management, and issue resolution
• Drive program governance and stakeholder communications
• Identify delivery risks and execute mitigation strategies
• Enforce enterprise-wide data product standards and best practices
• Support Data Mesh operating model implementation
• Define domain ownership, reusable frameworks, and engineering standards
• Ensure scalable, governed, and reliable data product delivery
• Review dbt Core implementations and ensure adherence to standards
• Enforce:
• Model design standards
• Naming conventions
• Testing frameworks
• Documentation requirements
• Code review practices
• Maintainability principles
• Guide analytics engineering teams on best practices
• Establish data quality frameworks and governance controls
• Implement validation, reconciliation, and defect management processes
• Ensure observability across ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers
• Drive ownership and accountability for data reliability
• Oversee modern data platform architectures utilizing:
• AWS Data Services
• Apache Iceberg
• Redshift
• Data Lakehouse Architectures
• Guide engineering teams on ingestion, transformation, orchestration, cataloging, and semantic layer strategies
• Collaborate with architecture, platform, business, and engineering teams
• Manage distributed vendor teams across regions and workstreams
• Align delivery outcomes with business objectives and enterprise standards

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in Data Platforms
• 10+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Data Delivery
• Proven experience leading large-scale data engineering programs
• Strong vendor management and multi-team delivery experience
• 3+ years of hands-on dbt Core experience
• Strong expertise in Data Product Development
• Strong expertise in Data Mesh
• Strong expertise in Data Governance
• Strong expertise in Analytics Engineering
• Deep understanding of Data Quality
