FP&A Project Manager– Finance PMO: 26-01562

Akraya, Inc. is an award-winning IT staffing firm, and they are seeking an experienced FP&A Project Manager to join their Finance PMO team. This role will lead complex finance transformation initiatives and drive cross-functional projects across various teams to enhance planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of FP&A and finance transformation initiatives from intake through project closure
• Partner with FP&A stakeholders to define business requirements, planning assumptions, project scope, and success metrics
• Support Anaplan-based planning initiatives, planning model enhancements, and finance systems optimization projects
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, timelines, RAID logs, dependencies, and resource plans
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Finance, Accounting, Engineering, HR/PPL, and Business functions
• Drive governance, executive reporting, steering committee discussions, and decision-making forums
• Proactively identify project risks, issues, and dependencies while executing mitigation strategies
• Prepare executive-level status updates, presentations, and project communications
• Support organizational change management, user adoption, and enablement activities
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management methodologies based on project needs

Requirements:

• 5+ years of project or program management experience supporting FP&A, planning, forecasting, or reporting initiatives
• Hands-on experience supporting Anaplan-based planning projects, including collaboration with model builders and FP&A leaders
• Experience working directly with FP&A teams within a technology, SaaS, or software organization
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning cycles, and management reporting processes
• Proven experience managing finance systems implementations, enhancements, or transformation programs
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
• Experience creating and managing project plans, RAID logs, governance processes, and executive communications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification preferred
• MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and workforce planning initiatives
• Prior Anaplan model-building experience or partnership with Anaplan Center of Excellence teams
• Experience supporting large-scale finance transformation and operating model changes
• Familiarity with Agile and Hybrid delivery methodologies
