Akraya, Inc. is an award-winning IT staffing firm, and they are seeking an experienced FP&A Project Manager to join their Finance PMO team. This role will lead complex finance transformation initiatives and drive cross-functional projects across various teams to enhance planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of FP&A and finance transformation initiatives from intake through project closure
- Partner with FP&A stakeholders to define business requirements, planning assumptions, project scope, and success metrics
- Support Anaplan-based planning initiatives, planning model enhancements, and finance systems optimization projects
- Develop and manage project plans, milestones, timelines, RAID logs, dependencies, and resource plans
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Finance, Accounting, Engineering, HR/PPL, and Business functions
- Drive governance, executive reporting, steering committee discussions, and decision-making forums
- Proactively identify project risks, issues, and dependencies while executing mitigation strategies
- Prepare executive-level status updates, presentations, and project communications
- Support organizational change management, user adoption, and enablement activities
- Apply Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management methodologies based on project needs
Requirements:
- 5+ years of project or program management experience supporting FP&A, planning, forecasting, or reporting initiatives
- Hands-on experience supporting Anaplan-based planning projects, including collaboration with model builders and FP&A leaders
- Experience working directly with FP&A teams within a technology, SaaS, or software organization
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning cycles, and management reporting processes
- Proven experience managing finance systems implementations, enhancements, or transformation programs
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Experience creating and managing project plans, RAID logs, governance processes, and executive communications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification preferred
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and workforce planning initiatives
- Prior Anaplan model-building experience or partnership with Anaplan Center of Excellence teams
- Experience supporting large-scale finance transformation and operating model changes
- Familiarity with Agile and Hybrid delivery methodologies
