The Business Analyst will act as a liaison between development teams and business units, evaluating business needs and translating them into system requirements while providing operational support.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technology teams to foster strong relationships and ensure that their needs and expectations are effectively addressed
- Elicit requirements for requested system enhancements and produce clear and concise specification documents
- Liaise with developers to ensure understanding of specifications
- Perform testing of technology solutions to ensure they meet specifications and adhere to defined quality standards
- Provide operational support in researching and resolving complex inquiries
- Develop SQL queries to support analysis, research, testing, or ad hoc report requests
- Support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancing efficiency and streamlining how we support our business processes and operations
- Fulfill requests for report refreshes and job executions as needed
Requirements:
- 5+ years of work experience related to business systems analysis
- 1 year of experience in the health insurance or health care industry
- Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience (4 years)
- Medicaid/Medicare experience
- Ability to tackle complex topics and distill into easy-to-understand components
- Effective problem solving and decision-making skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with complex systems and datasets
- Agile project methodology
