Medasource is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to join their onshore techno-functional support team. This role involves supporting application, configuration, process, and business analysis activities, working closely with business users and technical stakeholders to document requirements and assist with system configuration.
Responsibilities:
- Support application, configuration, process, and business analysis activities across a growing onshore support team
- Work with business users, product/application teams, and technical stakeholders to document requirements, assist with basic system configuration, support testing, track issues, and help translate business needs into clear, actionable work items
Requirements:
- 0–3 years of experience in business analysis, application support, system configuration, data analysis, QA, research, or a related technical/analytical role
- Strong intellectual curiosity, eagerness to learn, and ability to ramp quickly in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to gather, clarify, and document business needs, workflows, issues, and system requirements
- Exposure to basic application configuration, system administration, workflow updates, or technical support activities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders
- Comfort with documentation, note-taking, process mapping, issue tracking, and follow-up
- Basic understanding of SDLC, Agile, user stories, testing, or application delivery concepts
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, ask good questions, and troubleshoot problems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel; familiarity with SharePoint, Teams, Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps, or similar tools is helpful
- Ability to support UAT, test case documentation, defect tracking, and business validation activities
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, business analytics, information systems, computer science, biology, psychology, public health, statistics, mathematics, or a related field
- Academic or professional experience using R, SPSS, Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics/statistics tools
- Prior internship, co-op, or entry-level experience in healthcare, health insurance, hospital operations, software support, or IT
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, or functional documentation
- Exposure to healthcare applications, patient/member data, digital health, CRM, CMS, contact center, or enterprise systems
- Experience supporting configuration, permissions, workflows, forms, queues, dashboards, or data validation
- Prior experience working with offshore teams, support models, ticket queues, or application enhancement backlogs
- Midwest or Arizona-based candidates preferred, though open to approved remote states
