Sunbound is a company focused on improving the financial aspects of senior care. The Senior Product Manager will own the vision and strategy for a core product area, drive execution with a team of engineers and designers, and leverage customer insights and AI research to enhance product offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a core Sunbound product area
- Drive high-velocity execution with a world-class team of engineers and designers, balancing sharp product intuition with data-driven decision making
- Marry customer insights with technical possibilities to craft intuitive experiences that abstract away complexity for operators and families
- Prototype rapidly using tools like Cursor, Bolt, and Claude Code to accelerate the product development lifecycle and fast-forward to production-ready products
- Stay deeply plugged into AI research and industry trends, including the latest LLM models, open-source releases, how AI memory and retrieval systems work, and emergent applications, then apply those insights creatively to Sunbound's product
- Work hands-on with LLM concepts like prompting, embeddings, and retrieval to inform product decisions and partner effectively with engineering
- Contribute to the evolution of Sunbound's product management practices as we scale AI across our platform
Requirements:
- BA/BS in a technical or analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, or related)
- 4+ years of product management or adjacent product-building experience
- Strong customer empathy and design thinking with a track record of shipping products people love
- Passion for AI, shown through hands-on building, prototyping, or side projects and a habit of staying current on research and tools
- Hands-on fluency with LLM concepts including prompting, fine-tuning, embeddings, retrieval, and evaluation, and the judgment to translate these into reliable, user-facing products
- Genuine AI curiosity in practice: you follow model releases, understand how AI memory and context windows work, explore open-source LLMs, and regularly experiment with what's new
- Fluency with modern prototyping tools including Cursor, Bolt, and Claude Code, and comfort with design and collaboration environments like Figma and Git
- Fluency in data and experimentation, and the judgment to know when the data can't give you the answer
- Proven ability to lead small, cross-functional teams toward ambitious goals with urgency and ownership
- Ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences, synthesizing complex systems into clear, compelling narratives
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Experience in fintech, health-tech, or B2B SaaS products
- Prior experience building or launching LLM-powered features in a production environment
- Familiarity with senior living, payments infrastructure, or revenue cycle management
- Experience running lightweight customer interviews or usability tests
- Comfort with basic front-end concepts like components, states, and APIs
