SNA International is seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Project Manager to lead strategic outreach, branding, and communications efforts for the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs). The role involves overseeing the design and execution of targeted outreach strategies to enhance public awareness and stakeholder engagement while ensuring alignment with brand standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to support NamUs' goals and national awareness efforts, to include law enforcement, medical examiners, coroners, forensic professionals, family members, and the general public
- Develop content for the NamUs website, social media, newsletters, public reports, and educational materials to ensure consistent messaging and brand integrity
- Design and manage national outreach campaigns, including digital, print, and video communications that highlight NamUs resources and success stories
- Partner with NIJ communications staff to coordinate public messaging, press releases, and media engagement
- Create and manage content calendars for NamUs online platforms, ensuring timely publication of accurate and accessible information (ADA Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 compliance)
- Monitor performance analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Mailchimp) to track campaign effectiveness and optimize communications strategies
- Produce reports summarizing outreach outcomes, stakeholder engagement metrics, and return on investment (ROI) for marketing efforts
- Support the development of training, outreach, and awareness materials, including video production, flyers, and digital user guides
- Provide subject-matter input for presentations, conferences, and professional engagements representing NamUs
- Collaborate with forensic, case management, and IT teams to ensure technical accuracy and consistency of communications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or Business
- Minimum of two years of experience managing or supporting marketing and communication projects in a technical, scientific, or government-related environment
- Demonstrated experience with digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, or Tableau
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical or scientific information into accessible, audience-appropriate content
- Experience developing multi-channel communication campaigns and producing measurable engagement results
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Ability to pass a background investigation

- Experience in public sector communications or supporting federal outreach programs
