RiseNow is a consulting firm that is seeking an Associate Project Manager to lead and manage projects within their Governance and Transition Office. The role involves overseeing project execution, ensuring adherence to PMO methodologies, and maintaining client communication to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing small projects/workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and ensuring deliverables are completed with quality
- Collaborates with clients to understand their objectives, scope, and deliverables
- Defines project goals, objectives, resource allocations, and success criteria
- Responsible for leading and motivating project teams. Clearly define team member roles and responsibilities and provide direction and support to ensure successful project execution
- Identify and assess project risks, and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage potential risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintains clear and effective communication with project stakeholders and team members
- Understands and adheres to global PMO best practices; Follows RiseNow's PMO Methodology, utilizing standard tools and templates, and reporting up to PMO
- Monitor project budget and make necessary adjustments to control budget
- Track project progress and ensure it adheres to the established timeline. Adjust as needed to meet deadlines
- Manage and control project scope as outlined in the signed scope(s) of work; if Change orders are needed, follow the review and approval process
- Maintain project documentation, including project plans, action logs, risk logs, project dashboard, etc
- Contributes to refining and developing PMO standard tools and templates and contributes ideas to improve methodology
- Demonstrates familiarity with basic functionality, UI and general offerings for solutions that RN implements
- Works with Manager to fully complete annual performance development activities and facilitation to support developing knowledge, skills, and experience for current role and/or future role(s)
- Enters time weekly and tracks own progress towards project and utilization goals using Wrike
- Internal Meeting Participation: Attend required company meetings including monthly All Hands & RiseBeyond sessions, as well as any required team/department meetings
Requirements:
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented team player
- At least 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in project management or relevant fields, inside of a PMO a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage small to medium implementation and/or IT projects
- Demonstrated experience with project management software
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely with all levels of management
- Strong client handling and creative thinking skills and demonstrates the ability to work confidently across multiple projects
- Ability to work and participate in a virtual team environment
- Familiarity with procurement supply chain concepts, technologies, processes a plus
- PMP certification is preferred, not required
