Ulteig is currently seeking two highly organized and engaged Training and Quality Engineers to lead training efforts and implement quality improvements for the Substation Engineering department. The Substation Training & Quality Engineer is responsible for providing development, oversight, and maintenance of the substation training program while supporting quality processes and best practices. This role ensures the team has the proper training, processes, and tools to excel in their roles and advance their careers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide QC & project mentoring on substation projects
- Submit Quality Reports as part of QC
- Review Quality Escapes and identify root cause for quality errors
- Participate on Training Committee team and action items to support internal training efforts
- Communicate department-wide training and quality initiatives
- Collaborate with department leadership on training needs and quality process related improvements
- Create and maintain training curriculum within Ulteig University
- Engage in the lessons learned process and identify suggested updates to quality checklists as appropriate
- Coordinate and schedule lunch and learn opportunities
- Seek opportunities to assist clients with technical training
- Assess industry trends and new technologies
- It is anticipated that 60% of the time will be spent on billable projects, with 40% of the time committed to training and quality initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 7+ years of substation physical and/or P&C design experience
- PE License is required
- Technical expertise, preferably subject matter expertise, in at least one of the following substation design disciplines: Physical/Electrical or Protection & Control

- Must have permanent work authorization to work in the US
- Lead Engineer or above preferred
