Data Operations Engineer

BTC searching is an innovative Israeli healthcare technology startup looking to hire a Data Operations Engineer. This role involves managing and optimizing customer-specific data operations, onboarding new customers, and designing scalable ETL processes to enhance customer success and product innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support customer-specific data requirements while acting as a trusted advisor
• Lead onboarding and implementation of new customer data integrations
• Build and maintain SQL-based ETL pipelines within a dbt framework
• Develop tooling and data models to improve scalability, observability, and operational efficiency
• Collaborate closely with product, R&D, customer success, and other internal teams
• Own ongoing operational data processes including ingestion, validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Contribute to operational systems and feature roadmap planning
• Analyze complex datasets and deliver actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders
• Perform ad hoc analytical and operational data tasks as needed

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in similar roles such as Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, Data Operations Engineer, BI Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Implementation Consultant, or Customer-Facing Data Consultant
• Experience working with modern data stack technologies
• 5+ years of experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery preferred)
• 5+ years of SQL and ETL development experience
• 3+ years of hands-on dbt experience including model development, testing, and project configuration
• Experience with Python and/or shell scripting
• Experience in customer-facing or implementation-oriented data roles
• Previous experience working in startup environments
• Ability to independently own and improve parts of the data infrastructure and operational processes
• Experience working with sensitive and regulated healthcare data environments (PII, PHI, HIPAA)
