Red Ventures is a company that empowers consumers to make smarter financial choices, and they are seeking a Lead Product Manager for their Bankrate division. This role involves owning the strategy and outcomes for a cross-functional team focused on enhancing personalized consumer experiences and expanding their mortgage marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Build Deeper Authenticated Consumer Experiences: Lead the vision and execution for personalized, authenticated journeys across financial products — including mortgage qualification flows, saved preferences, cross-product recommendations, and tailored matching — that meaningfully increase consumer confidence, engagement depth, and return visits
- Own the Realtor Entry Strategy: Define the end-to-end product vision for how realtors interact with our mortgage marketplace, expanding our platform beyond a consumer-only approach and unlocking a significant new referral channel for lenders
- Advance Financial Product Personalization: Identify the authenticated experience "hooks" — pre-qualification, rate alerts, personalized product matching across mortgage, deposits, and credit cards — that deepen the consumer relationship with Bankrate and increase lender monetization
- Disrupt the "Local Lender" Habit: Develop a clear multi-year roadmap that provides realtors with enough value (transparency, speed, and co-branding) to shift their loyalty from traditional preferred lenders to our digital marketplace
- Strategic Tradeoffs: Balance the needs of multiple personas — the consumer (the borrower), the realtor (the referrer), and the lender (the provider) — across both workstreams, making deliberate prioritization decisions when they compete
- Partner with Engineering and Design leads to ensure strong execution health, technical quality, and appropriate sequencing of foundational vs. feature work across both surfaces
- Directly manage product managers on the team while also serving as the product and technical leader for a broader cross-functional squad of engineers and designers
- Establish clear operating rhythms, decision frameworks, and success metrics that enable consistent delivery and learning across multiple product surfaces
- Use quantitative and qualitative insights to validate strategy, guide prioritization, and iterate on the roadmap — spanning both B2C (consumer personalization and qualification) and B2B (realtor adoption) dimensions
Requirements:
- Experience in financial services or fintech, with a strong understanding of the mortgage lifecycle and consumer financial decision-making; familiarity with adjacent products like personal loans or credit cards is a plus
- Proven experience building or scaling authenticated, personalized consumer experiences — ideally across multiple financial product verticals
- Experience taking a product into a net-new market segment or launching a zero-to-one initiative within a larger organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams and direct reports without losing strategic clarity or execution discipline
- Ability to work with APIs and integrations to ensure seamless data flow between consumers, lenders, and partners across product surfaces
- Experience owning complex, interconnected platforms rather than isolated features
- Track record of driving measurable outcomes, particularly in revenue-impacting systems
- Comfort navigating ambiguity while maintaining forward momentum
