Dexian is supporting a Fintech client in Plano, TX seeking a Growth and Retention Specialist to help protect and grow an existing customer base by owning renewals and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities. This customer-facing role requires strong communication and negotiation skills to drive positive outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Own the renewal process end-to-end (early outreach through contract close)
- Proactively engage customers throughout the renewal lifecycle, addressing concerns and ensuring a smooth, timely renewal
- Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities by understanding customer needs and connecting them to additional products/services
- Lead commercial discussions, including pricing negotiations, to secure renewals
- Build strong customer relationships as a trusted advisor and advocate
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (Sales, Customer Success, etc.) to route/escalate issues and drive resolution
- Follow established renewal processes and contribute ideas to improve them
Requirements:
- Background in account management, renewals, customer success, retention, or sales
- Strong customer communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfort with negotiation and handling objections/problem-solving
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
