The Midtown Group is seeking a highly skilled Remote ServiceNow Enterprise Business Analyst to join their dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, leveraging your expertise to optimize ServiceNow platform implementations and integrations across enterprise environments.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business units to gather, analyze, and document requirements for ServiceNow modules and related enterprise systems
- Design and develop workflows, dashboards, and reports within ServiceNow to improve operational efficiency and visibility
- Conduct detailed data analysis utilizing tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, R, and SQL to identify trends and support decision-making processes
- Lead process mapping sessions using Visio and facilitate workshops to streamline workflows aligned with Agile methodologies
- Manage project lifecycles from initiation through implementation, ensuring adherence to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards
- Develop database schemas and perform database design tasks using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and ETL tools like Talend and Bash scripting
- Support integration efforts by utilizing Python, VBA, and Linked Data techniques to connect disparate systems securely and efficiently
- Monitor project progress using project management tools; communicate updates effectively across teams
- Assist in defining data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance across platforms
- Provide ongoing support for platform enhancements by analyzing system performance metrics and user feedback
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on ServiceNow enterprise solutions in a remote setting
- Strong proficiency in business analysis techniques combined with technical expertise in SDLC processes
- Extensive knowledge of data analysis tools including Tableau, Power BI, Looker, R, SQL, and ETL processes
- Hands-on experience with database design using Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle; familiarity with database management best practices
- Skilled in project management methodologies such as Agile; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Technical proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), VBA; experience with Linked Data integration is a plus
- Familiarity with analysis skills related to analytics platforms like Talend; understanding of system architecture including Oracle databases
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams while maintaining attention to detail
