Carpay is a vertical SaaS and embedded payments platform for the buy-here-pay-here auto industry, seeking a Sales Development Representative to penetrate the largest dealer prospects. The role focuses on generating qualified demos and supporting sales efforts to shorten the time from outreach to revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Run outbound cadences to 500+ active loan BHPH dealers across phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Qualify against ICP before booking demos. Bad demos are worse than no demo
- Book qualified demos with confirmed dates and pre-demo discovery in HubSpot. Maintain a 75%+ show rate through multi-channel confirmation (24-hour reminder, day-of confirmation, cell number capture at scheduling)
- Log everything: activity, calls (AirCall on every cell), demos, loss reasons. If it isn't in HubSpot, it didn't happen
- Support post-demo nurture and multi-threading on live deals. Contribute to competitive intel and Loss Reason capture
Requirements:
- You have done B2B outbound before and you can prove it with numbers
- You are phone-first by default, not email-first or LinkedIn-first
- You are disciplined in a CRM (HubSpot preferred)
- You are coachable
- We hold weekly 1:1s and the role demands willingness to be coached deal-by-deal
- You write tight, dial without flinching, and do not hide from a slow week
- BHPH, subprime auto, or auto retail experience (real edge, not required)
- Experience selling to family-owned or owner-operated SMBs
- Comfort with longer cycles (60-120 days) and multi-threading 2-4 stakeholders
