Product Designer

SchoolStatus connects educators and families around the topics that matter most. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for leading design projects from concept to implementation, focusing on creating innovative, user-centric product designs that solve business challenges while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications to align with project goals and user expectations
• Conduct user research and usability testing, gathering feedback to inform and validate design decisions
• Utilize prototyping tools and techniques to iterate on designs and support user testing
• Contribute to the design process for key features and work closely with product managers and engineers
• Contribute to the evolution of design systems and processes to improve efficiency and quality
• Ensure all design deliverables adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency
• Manage assigned design tasks and projects, delivering high-quality results within established timelines
• Gather requirements and understand business objectives to translate into actionable design solutions
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their growth within the team
• Drive rapid design ideation and prototyping by utilizing AI tools and methodologies to quickly explore user flows and high-value use cases

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a UX/product design role, with a portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and outcomes
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
• In-depth understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
• Strong knowledge of interaction design, information architecture, and usability principles
• Experience with prototyping tools and techniques to iterate and refine designs
• Familiarity with front-end development technologies and their impact on design implementation
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on delivering user-centered design solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in cross-functional teams
• Proven track record of taking initiative and driving projects forward independently
• Ability to make informed decisions and prioritize tasks based on business impact and user needs
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field preferred
