Carrier is a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, dedicated to enhancing comfort, safety, and sustainability. The Senior Manager of Content Design will shape Carrier's products and services through effective UX/UI copy and information architecture, collaborating with various stakeholders to establish content standards and strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Set the vision for content to create cohesive messaging and narratives across a growing number of platforms, channels, and personas
- Establish and maintain content standards with consistency while evolving Carrier’s product voice and tone
- Document guidelines for best practices and principles to be used across teams
- Plan, write, edit, test and improve content including interface language, product orientations, product nomenclature, navigational text, instructional direction, and information architecture
- Collaborate with a variety of experience design-related stakeholders including product designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and brand marketers to serve a broad audience
- Create compelling long-term content strategies that allow content to scale globally
- Contribute as a thought leader on the Design team to help mature the team and improve processes, partnerships and individual performances
- Provide formal and informal mentorship and design direction to other designers on the team whose responsibilities span interaction design, visual design, and content design
- Identify opportunities to leverage and incorporate the latest technologies (e.g. AI tools, research tools, etc.) to optimize efficiency and scale across programs and teams at Carrier
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 + years of practical experience working with digital experience content
- 7 + years of experience leading experience design content and content strategy projects across multiple channels and stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Communication, Literature, Marketing, Journalism, English)
- The ability to convey complexity simply; less is more
- Confident, but humble
- Experience creating information architecture for complex and diverse product portfolios, including localization, personalization practices, and accessibility standards
- The ability to zoom in and out, helping others see the big picture, while understanding the implications for design and content direction at scale
- Outstanding collaboration skills; you work well with others and help them do their best work
- The ability to remain calm and focused when handling multiple projects, delegating effectively, and communicating proactively
