Senior/Lead Backend Engineer (Remote)

Fuse Energy is a forward-thinking renewable energy startup on a mission to deliver a terawatt of renewable energy - fast. They are seeking a Senior/Lead Backend Engineer to build the core digital infrastructure for their next-generation energy company, focusing on developing backend systems for real-time energy management and customer interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Constructing a real-time digital twin of our renewable generation and customer demand
• Developing messaging interfaces with our third-party providers
• Building high-volume pipelines for processing customer energy consumption
• Build the backend of a world class energy app

Requirements:

• Demonstrable excellence as a Software Engineer
• Ideally 2+ years experience
• Proven ability to define and build complex systems
• Hands-on experience shipping highly-available production systems
• Clear communication
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. AWS CDK)
• Experience in the Energy sector
• Experience shipping consumer-facing products
