About this role
V-Soft Consulting Group is a recognized agile technology services company headquartered in Louisville, KY. They are currently hiring a DevOps Engineer to work remotely, responsible for managing and optimizing production web applications while leading and mentoring team members.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of DevOps experience
- Experience with languages such as Python/Go and technologies including MySQL, Java/Tomcat/Apache, and Splunk for systems monitoring/management
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals
- Experience operating a 24/7 production web application
- Strong communication skills and an ability to lead and provide mentorship to team members
- Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Puppet or Chef/Ansible/Salt) and Terraform (or CloudFormation). This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert
- Extensive experience with AWS Cloud technologies (e.g., EC2, RDS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, DynamoDB) and container orchestrators like ECS
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools and processes, including Git, Jenkins, and Nexus
