General Dynamics Information Technology is one of the largest IT and mission services providers to the government, and they are seeking a Business Process Analyst – Intern to support the Indian Health Service Electronic Health Records Modernization program. The intern will assist in workflow analysis, milestone tracking, data collection, and change management activities across various teams.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in analyzing business processes and workflows under the guidance of senior analysts or project leads
- Support milestone tracking, documentation updates, and workflow monitoring during development and implementation phases
- Help coordinate communications across technical, clinical, and operational teams to ensure alignment on tasks and updates
- Contribute to change management tasks, including preparing documentation, updating process materials, and supporting stakeholder notifications
- Collect and validate business process data to support reporting needs, analysis, and issue-resolution pathways
- Assist with issue logging, tracking progress, and escalating items appropriately for resolution
- Participate in maintaining process documentation, workflow diagrams, tracking logs, and communication plans
- Support the preparation of project reports, presentations, and status updates for leadership and project teams
- Identify and share observations regarding potential workflow inefficiencies or process gaps for improvement discussions
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with documentation standards, process guidelines, and audit or quality expectations
- Collaborate with team members to learn workflow analysis methods, project processes, and operational tools used across the program
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, information systems, or a related field
- Interest in business process analysis, workflow management, project support, or related analytical functions
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to learn new systems, tools, methodologies, and documentation standards
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams
- Familiarity with basic reporting or documentation tools (e.g., Excel or project tracking systems)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines
- 0 + years of related experience
- Oracle Cerner certification (if applicable) may be recognized as equivalent experiential exposure, but is not required for internship applicants
