Zayo Group is a leading provider of mission-critical bandwidth, serving impactful companies with a vast network across North America and Europe. They are seeking a Product Management Specialist to support the development and execution of their Metro Dark Fiber portfolio, focusing on translating product strategy into execution and driving cross-functional delivery. The role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance product performance and ensure alignment with commercial strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Support the commercial success of the Metro Dark Fiber portfolio through contributions to pricing, packaging, promotion, and customer targeting strategies
- Develop and maintain pricing models, analyze market trends, and evaluate competitive positioning to inform pricing and investment decisions
- Partner with Sales and Go-to-Market teams to enable effective selling, including development of sales tools, product collateral, and customer-facing materials
- Help define target customer segments, use cases, and value propositions to improve market penetration and win rates
- Collaborate with Marketing to support product positioning, messaging, and promotional initiatives
- Translate market, customer, and business requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlog items
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering and Operations to deliver enhancements that support commercial objectives and customer needs
- Evaluate and improve product-related processes, systems, and workflows across the customer lifecycle (e.g., quoting, ordering, delivery, support)
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies in product operations and partner with internal teams to implement scalable improvements
- Support training and enablement for internal teams (e.g., Sales, Operations) to ensure consistent understanding and effective delivery of product offerings
- Define and track key metrics across product performance and customer experience, using data to drive continuous improvement
- Build strong relationships across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment and effective execution
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in product management, product marketing, pricing, business operations, or a similar role
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in pricing, financial modeling, market analysis, or performance measurement
- Experience supporting go-to-market activities, including sales enablement, customer segmentation, or product positioning
- Familiarity with process improvement, operational workflows, or systems that support the product lifecycle (e.g., quoting, ordering, CRM)
- Ability to use data to identify issues, measure performance, and drive process or product improvements
- Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment and influencing stakeholders without direct authority
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Aha!, or similar) is a plus
- Experience in telecommunications, networking, infrastructure, or B2B services preferred
- Experience with tools such as Salesforce (SFDC), CRM platforms, or analytics tools is a plus
- MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., Product, Agile, Process Improvement) are a plus
