SoTalent is an international biopharmaceutical organization dedicated to improving outcomes for patients and their families. The Associate Director, Market Access Marketing plays a key role in delivering strategies that support patient access and commercial success, implementing initiatives to ensure appropriate access across payer systems and distribution channels.
Responsibilities:
- Execute market access initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader brand and commercial objectives
- Contribute to the development of both short-term and long-term access strategies across multiple functions
- Support the creation of value propositions tailored to payer audiences, incorporating clinical, economic, and real-world evidence
- Develop and deliver tools and materials for use with key stakeholders, including insurers, government bodies, healthcare institutions, and distribution partners
- Work closely with internal teams such as payer account management, reimbursement support, patient services, and distribution partners to ensure consistent and effective execution
- Collaborate with marketing, medical, sales, and insights teams to provide a seamless and aligned customer experience
- Ensure access considerations are embedded early in brand planning, including pre-launch and lifecycle strategies
- Monitor changes in the healthcare landscape (e.g., policy, competition, reimbursement models) and adjust strategies accordingly
- Track performance metrics and evaluate the effectiveness of access initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for improvement
- Lead the development and refinement of messaging and materials aimed at supporting payer decision-making and product uptake
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure field teams are equipped with effective resources for stakeholder engagement
- Manage external agencies and vendors in the development of campaigns and materials
- Oversee review and approval processes to ensure compliance with medical, legal, and regulatory standards
- Manage budgets and ensure initiatives are delivered efficiently and within financial targets
Requirements:
- Significant experience (typically 7+ years) within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industries
- Background in areas such as market access, payer engagement, patient services, or managed markets marketing is advantageous
- Strong understanding of core marketing processes, including strategic planning and campaign development
- Demonstrated ability to work across functions and influence stakeholders at multiple levels
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities
- Experience working with external partners such as agencies or consultancies
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and inform strategic decisions
- Experience managing budgets and forecasts
- Knowledge of neurological conditions or similar therapeutic areas is beneficial
- Bachelor's degree required
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or equivalent) is advantageous
- Familiarity with payer engagement strategies and healthcare reimbursement environments is preferred
