Perform manual labor duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while working under tight production deadlines.
Responsible for trimming excess board scrap from loads using a pneumatic air gun.
Arranges cases on a pallet, wraps and labels loads.
Uses a PIV to move WIP and finished goods to palletizer.
Occasionally moves stacks of cartons from pallets and places them into the feeder of the gluing machine/press.
Responsible for performing quality checks on the cartons according to SOP's.
Correctly labels corrugated cases.
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the work area.
Safely performs all tasks on and around the equipment.
Requirements
Prior exposure to manufacturing environment preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools preferred.
Strong dexterity and hand-eye coordination required.
Must be able to keep up with production needs in a fast-paced, high-speed machinery environment.
Basic computer skills required.
Basic math skills
addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division required.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with frequent twisting, bending, push/pull and repetitive tasks.
Routine lifting and occasional heavy lifting. (up to 40 lbs.)
Must adhere to all company general policies and processes as well as safety policies and government legislation (i.e., Occupational Health and Safety Act).
