Role Overview
Provide leadership and direction for the Credit Union Program
Planning and overseeing the safety and soundness examination and supervision of state-chartered credit unions
Maintaining effective working relationships with other regulators, industry members and consumer advocates related to the supervision of state-chartered credit unions
Advising senior division and department management on policy issues involving the Credit Union Act
Providing counsel and expertise to the staff, administrator and director
Requirements
Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience OR Three years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field
Demonstrated ability to complete projects timely
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to analyze information and apply sound judgment
Willingness and experience in presenting information in public and to executives
Ability to coach and develop supervised staff
Experience working in or with credit unions or banks or as a financial services regulator
