Lead & support functional stakeholders in analyses of the internal/external fact base and understand internal customer needs
Build global strategy & action plans for assigned segments & categories, especially for direct sales and service departments;
Support of global tenders within Sales or Service departments
Obtain stakeholder validation of and buy-in for the strategy and action plans;
Ensure integration of Procurement activities with other functions & operations
Share and integrate best practices for the segments/regions assigned;
Define local procurement strategies & actions for segments, ensure compliance to achieve TCO savings and value creation.
Assist stakeholders in writing of specifications
Run tenders, negotiate & formalize contracts
Identification and implementation of cost-saving initiatives
Support throughout the entire supplier lifecycle (from supplier selection to phase-out)
Proactive market monitoring and escalation management
Expense tracking for facilities
Creation and management of purchase orders (POs) in close collaboration with internal departments

3-5 years of experience in similar position.
Extensive, demonstrable experience & successful outcomes as a Software & Solutions Buyer
Experience in Telecoms or related industry essential
Good market knowledge on IT service and Distributors
Basic knowledge in ITIL Service Management
Strong negotiation skills
Hands on mentality
Ability to handle independent RFP and RFQ requirements
Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of German would be considered an advantage.
Ability to communicate with, present to & influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
