Coordinates inventory and tracking time sheets, costs, and quantities
Prepares quantity takeoffs
Assists in creating, implementing, and monitoring the quality plan, including conducting quality inspections, and identifying issues on-site and in work scopes
Conducts basic safety inspections and training, identifies and corrects safety hazards, attends daily safety meetings, and leads by example in safety practices and procedures
Assists the project team with subtrade partner management, including managing requests for information, shop drawings, changes and billings and overseeing work by providing day-to-day direction
Assists with schedules and monitoring trade performance
Develops and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders
Supports superintendent, project manager and project coordinator on self-perform scopes and workforce planning (if applicable, for self-perform responsibility)
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, trade or a related field
2–3 years of progressive experience as field coordinator is preferred
Ability to understand and apply basic construction principles, specifications, and procedures
Experience with a broad range of construction specifications, and methods and procedures (e.g., self-perform work, trade partners, work scopes, temporary work, and equipment)
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders including supervisors and subtrade partners
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
