About this role
Role Overview
- Develop and maintain the backend of our client’s enterprise AI platform product, primarily in Python
- Triage and fix bugs, and deliver incremental enhancements to existing functionality
- Investigate and prototype potential new features, working from concept through to feasibility
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, integrated with GitHub
- Rotate through a support roster for our Citizen Developer community, helping non-engineers get unstuck
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Python in a backend/platform engineering context
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and GitHub for CI/CD and version control
- Comfort working in a WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) on Windows 11 development environment
- Experience with Jira and Confluence for planning, tracking, and documentation
- A track record of debugging production systems and shipping fixes with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills — you'll be supporting non-technical Citizen Developers directly
