simultaneously lead indirect sourcing initiatives for Marketing, including building successful sourcing strategies, driving strategic improvements, and delivering on operational targets, savings goals, and business strategies
conduct total cost modeling and sensitivity/scenario analysis to help team members understand trade-offs and benefits to multiple outcomes
assist with the analysis and planning for various components of indirect spend categories to ensure operational success and results
use sourcing tools to support departmental efforts to refine and improve procurement processes and policies
develop and manage relationships with business stakeholders and provide regular project status updates
partner with multiple corporate functions (e.g., Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Legal, etc.) as part of your sourcing projects and related activities
review, revise, and negotiate contract language
assist in the development and management of strategic and complex contract renewals
engage in supplier relationship activities (e.g., regular business reviews, vendor score carding, etc.)
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing for Marketing, which includes Growth, Creative, Brand, Portfolio & Brand Strategy, Retention, Promotion, etc.
demonstrated capabilities of leading sourcing projects, contract negotiations and authoring, and driving savings/value
strong relationship-building, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, motivational, and influencing skills; coordination across related disciplines and with key stakeholders
experience coordinating teams, collecting insights, and constructively challenge internal stakeholders with conventional thinking
understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes, sourcing tools, and strategies
