Role Overview
- Technical leadership on high-impact web initiatives
- Design and implementation of critical web features
- Define and execute long-term web architecture
- Raise technical standards: code reviews, design reviews, testing culture
- Instrumentation and observability: metrics, structured logging, dashboards
- Participation in on-call rotations (with team support)
- Lead post-mortems and drive MTTR reduction
- Technical coordination with other engineers and Engineering leadership
- Promote productive and responsible use of AI tools within the team
Requirements
- 5+ years of web development experience, preferably using React and/or Vue
- Experience as a technical lead or senior contributor on modern web projects
- Solid knowledge of APIs — REST as a baseline; GraphQL or Backend-for-Frontend patterns are a plus
- Core Web Vitals, rendering strategies (SSR/SSG/ISR), edge caching
- Experience with observability: Prometheus, Grafana, structured logging, error tracking
- Experience with WordPress (PHP), technical SEO and Web Analytics is valued
- Ability to identify issues and take action without waiting for assignment
- Pragmatism: make decisions with clear trade-offs rather than seeking perfect solutions
- Availability for on-call rotations
