Role Overview
- Perform in a support role as defined by the sponsoring department management
- Complete non-complex projects assigned
- Network with apprentices and Sedgwick colleagues
- Shadow experts who investigate and assemble facts from an insurance perspective
- Learn from business line leaders/experts to gain understanding of the insurance and engineering processes
- Train on insurance coverages and principles
- Assist with projects, observe meetings and inspections
- Develop and present capstone project results to the Operating Committee at end of apprentice program
- Support the organization's quality program(s)
Requirements
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated in a diploma or degree program
- Preferred programs include business, insurance, accounting, or engineering
- Ability to obtain applicable Adjuster Licensing
- Basic knowledge of insurance, claims or business management
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products and Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
