A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (required); an advanced degree (MBA or similar) and/or a professional procurement certification is strongly preferred.
~20 years of progressive experience in global procurement or category management, including a track record of taking on broader scope, higher-stakes categories, and larger teams at each career step.
Direct experience leading procurement within a multi-national biopharmaceutical or life sciences organization, with working fluency in the R&D category specifically.
A demonstrated record of enterprise-level influence.
Hands-on ownership of building or substantially re-engineering a procurement function.
Command of complex, high-value negotiations and supplier relationships, with specific, quantifiable outcomes.
Evidence of building supply chain resilience proactively.
Direct people-leadership experience managing Director-level (or equivalent senior) professionals.
