About this role
Role Overview
- Perform a variety of technical procedures including HLA typing by rSSO and next generation sequencing methods
- Luminex based HLA Antibody identification
- Donor/recipient flow cytometric cross-matching
- Keep all instrumentation in good working order
- Identify and notify the supervisor or lead tech of instrument malfunctions
- Aid in instrument repair
- Identify abnormal or discrepant results
- Participate in student teaching and assisting of other personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology
- ASCP or another accrediting agency certified or eligible (Certification must be obtained within one year of employment)
- Previous HLA experience (Preferred)
