We’re looking for an Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day accounting function across all of our brands and entities.
This is a working leadership role — you’ll review the work of 1–2 staff accountants while staying hands-on in the close, the financials, and the reconciliations yourself.
Function as the senior accounting leader for the group: owning the period-end close, budgeting and forecasting, location and brand-level financials, keeping our multi-entity books clean, and serving as the financial backbone.
Partner directly with the VP of Finance on reporting, controls, and process improvement as the group grows.
Prepare consolidated, brand-level, and location-level P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Record and review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and depreciation.
Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and maintain clean, audit-ready support, personally owning the most complex or sensitive accounts.
Deliver timely variance analysis against budget and prior periods, with commentary operators can act on.
Review fixed asset, lease (ASC 842), and capital project/pre-opening cost accounting prepared by the team.
Assign and prioritize workloads across the close calendar to keep the team on schedule.
Coach and develop the accounting team, and help build process and headcount as the group grows.
Produce flash reporting and prime cost (food cost % + labor %) analysis by location.
Own location
and brand-level P&L reporting distributed to operators, and the group’s KPI/management dashboards.
Oversee daily sales reconciliation, tying POS reporting to bank deposits across all sites.
Track and analyze COGS, food and beverage cost, and inventory in partnership with operations.
Prepare the annual budget and periodic reforecasts in partnership with the VP of Finance.
Own cash flow forecasting across entities.
Manage daily cash positioning across entities and locations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of month/period-end close.
Experience reviewing the work of and/or supervising other accounting staff.
Strong technical accounting (full-cycle, GAAP) and multi-entity consolidation experience.
Experience owning budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large operational datasets.
Demonstrated ability to work hands-on while managing competing deadlines.
Strongly Preferred: Restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit retail accounting experience.
Familiarity with period-based (4-week / 13-period) accounting.
Experience with restaurant accounting platforms (e.g., Restaurant365, Compeat, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks) and POS systems (e.g., Toast, Aloha).
Multi-jurisdiction sales tax experience in Colorado.
Fixed asset, lease (ASC 842), and cash flow forecasting experience.
CPA (not required, but a plus).
