About this role
Role Overview
- Responsible for meeting the full spectrum of human resources needs for two manufacturing plants.
- Provide onsite guidance and support to plant management and employees on a full range of human resources and safety matters.
- Administer USG’s employee relations programs effectively.
- Act as the primary safety resource and advisor for both plants.
- Monitor staffing levels and trends to anticipate and address staffing needs.
- Assess workforce training needs and deliver or coordinate appropriate training solutions.
- Make informed recommendations regarding plant wage, salary, and incentive decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of human resources experience in a manufacturing setting, preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of HR laws and practices, including OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and other relevant regulations.
- Ability to deliver effective training to diverse groups.
- Demonstrated ability to coach employees and managers.
- Strong employee relations focus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Proven thought leadership and influencing skills; ability to build and maintain collaborative partnerships across the organization.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
- Willingness and ability to travel to satellite locations at least once per month.
