About this role
Role Overview
Responsible for meeting the full spectrum of human resources needs for two manufacturing plants.
Provide onsite guidance and support to plant management and employees on a full range of human resources and safety matters.
Administer USG’s employee relations programs effectively.
Act as the primary safety resource and advisor for both plants.
Monitor staffing levels and trends to anticipate and address staffing needs.
Assess workforce training needs and deliver or coordinate appropriate training solutions.
Make informed recommendations regarding plant wage, salary, and incentive decisions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of human resources experience in a manufacturing setting, preferred.
Extensive knowledge of HR laws and practices, including OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and other relevant regulations.
Ability to deliver effective training to diverse groups.
Demonstrated ability to coach employees and managers.
Strong employee relations focus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
Proven thought leadership and influencing skills; ability to build and maintain collaborative partnerships across the organization.
Exceptional organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
Willingness and ability to travel to satellite locations at least once per month.
