Lead technical aspects of business development for the global data center segment by identifying, qualifying, and advancing strategic opportunities with hyperscalers, colocation providers, developers, EPCs, utilities, and other sophisticated counterparties.
Engage customers early to understand business drivers, power constraints, commercial priorities, and technical requirements, including how BESS may fit within broader data center infrastructure strategies.
Partner with Sales, Product, Strategy, and Engineering to shape solution strategies, refine value propositions, and guide complex opportunities through commercial development.
Translate market and customer insight into go-to-market priorities, product feedback, and internal enablement for the data center segment.
Build credibility with executive, commercial, and technical stakeholders by linking solution design, power architecture, and project considerations to business outcomes.
Requirements
8+ years of business development, strategic sales, technical sales, or related commercial experience in energy storage, power infrastructure, data centers, or closely adjacent sectors.
Proven track record developing and advancing complex, multimillion-dollar B2B opportunities with sophisticated customers such as hyperscalers, colocation providers, utilities, developers, EPCs, or large industrial counterparties.
Strong commercial acumen, including experience shaping value propositions, influencing deal strategy, and supporting solution-based sales for complex infrastructure or energy-related offerings.
Demonstrated experience in BESS systems, data center electrical infrastructure, or related power system applications, with the technical fluency to engage credibly on topics such as load profiles, interconnection, MV/LV systems, controls/integration, and resiliency.
Exceptional communication, executive presence, and cross-functional influence, with the ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment and earn trust with both commercial and technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy systems, or a related field required.
Advanced degree or relevant technical/commercial experience preferred.
